Description: This eight-session, peer-led, interactive program builds upon the alcohol-related concepts learned in the sixth grade curriculum. Students are introduced to alcohol refusal skills, alternatives to alcohol use, and methods to critically evaluate alcohol related peer norms. This program utilizes teacher-led and peer-led group activities, small group activities, and class projects to encourage students to delay the onset of alcohol use. Concepts presented in these sessions will be expanded upon in PowerLines, the final program in this series.
