Research-Validated Programs

Research Review Board (RRB)

The RRB, comprised of researchers selected for their expertise in prevention and health education research, helps the CHKRC identify school-based prevention programs for which research has demonstrated evidence of positive impact on students’ health-related behaviors. RRB members review published prevention program research using the CHKRC’s research review criteria. Health promotion and prevention programs meeting all criteria are designated by the CHKRC as Research-Validated and are promoted for use in California schools and state-funded youth agencies.

RRB members are appointed to evaluate approximately six to eight research articles through June 30, 2010. The CHKRC supplies all the articles and review forms, and offer one-hour Webinar to orient all RRB to the forms and process. RRB members receive an honorarium of $300 for their service.
